Rouse is the only appraisal firm in the industry that receives billions of dollars of actual sales information from the largest rental equipment companies and construction equipment dealers in the world. Rouse has invested millions of dollars in proprietary software and database technology to perform the sophisticated data analysis and equipment list management required to perform monthly and quarterly-recurring appraisals of equipment fleets with hundreds of thousands of items. We track more than 13,000 standardized makes and models, monitoring retail, dealer, trade-in and auction sales data for each model we appraise.

Rental companies sell ten to twenty percent (10% - 20%) of their fleet annually; the majority of these sales are direct to end-users (i.e. retail), and the information for these sales is not available in the public domain. All of Rouse’s rental and dealer clients provide us detailed sales data for the equipment they sell. This sales data, not available to other appraisers, is updated in Rouse’s database monthly, providing Rouse with the only true, comparable-backed, appraisal source for fair market and orderly liquidation values, in the industry. Our clients provide us with over $2 billion of equipment sales data annually. Rouse also monitors every major equipment auction and updates its database with these auction comparables.
