This Privacy Policy applies to any employee, contractor, job applicant, or prospective employee of Rouse Appraisals LLC (“Rouse”) who is a California resident and about whom we have collected personal information in the course of employment or application for employment (collectively, “you”).

For purposes of this statement, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household.  Personal information does not include publicly available information, information that has been de-identified, or information that does not fall within the definition of personal information above.

A.    What Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information about you:

    • Identifiers, which includes first and last name; home or other mailing address; email address; telephone number; emergency contact details; bank account, credit, and debit card numbers; Internet Protocol (“IP”) address; Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, visa or employment authorization information, and other state or other government-issued identification card number; and/or other similar identifiers;
    • Professional or employment-related information, which includes current employment  and employment history; salary/wage information and other compensation data; benefits and entitlement data; employment contract or offer letter information; start date, end date, and reason for termination; expense details; hours of work and time off; performance review information and ratings; performance and disciplinary records; travel booking details and history; workers compensation claim information; professional memberships; job application details; and information about references or background checks;
    • Education information, which includes education and training history (including required training administered by employer); academic transcripts; educational degrees; qualifications/certifications; and any other information that may be collected from your resume or job application;
    • Information relating to Internet activity or other electronic network activity, which includes cookie identifiers, clear gifs (a.k.a. web beacons), browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, clickstream data, device platform, device version, and/or other device characteristics including your choice of settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Global Positioning System (“GPS”);
    • Geolocation data, which includes GPS, Bluetooth, and/or latitude-longitude data that may reveal your location] ;
    • Audio, electronic, or visual information, which includes records of calls to or from our customer service centers and audio and video data from our cameras;
    • Information not listed above and related to characteristics protected under California or federal law, which includes your age/date of birth; gender or gender identity; nationality and immigration-related information; racial or ethnic origin; marital status; names of household members; criminal history and records; and names of emergency contacts you provide;
    • Other personal information not listed above and described in California Civil Code § 1798.80(e), which includes signature; physical characteristics or description; personal headshot; insurance policy number; limited medical information relating to paid family leave or short term disability; and/or other financial, medical, and health insurance information; and
    • Inferences about you drawn from any of the other data identified here, which includes gender identification and EEOC categorization.

B.    What We Do With Your Information

We may collect or use personal information about you for the following purposes:

    • Workforce communications (including emergency contacts);
    • Workforce management (e.g., performance reviews; evaluations; internal investigations);
    • Administering payroll, benefits, and expense reimbursements;
    • Training;
    • Events and travel;
    • Applying for employment (including screenings, interviews, and background checks);
    • Onboarding and related compliance with employment law;
    • IT and systems operations, maintenance, and security;
    • Tax and other government filing requirements;
    • Perform accounting, audits and other internal functions;
    • Comply with request or order from courts, law enforcement or other government authorities; and
    • Protect legal rights, safety, privacy, and property of us and others.
